After her return to Sulaimani and having four years experience working in the field of ballet dancing, Rubar Ahmad, a ballet's dance teacher, wants to bring us back to an atmosphere where our tongue stop uttering and our eyes become vividly visible with a 30-minute work of ballet dancing with a group of youth ballet dancers.
Las and Xazal is the name of the work whose melody was composed by Anwar Qaradaxi and performed for the first time in 2004 at Sulamani Fine Arts Institute.
"We want to prove that Kurds also can perform ballet dance with their own melody. I did my best to have this performance with a Kurdish melody because we have a fabulous music and we should introduce it worldwide."
As for the initiative of the work and training the youth dancers, Rubar said that they started preparation of body since June and they planned to perform it in November.
This performance is not only conducted for a festival but also for a public show which may continue for three days.
"We welcome anyone who is interested in learning ballet dancing," Rubar said.
