Hey brothers and sisters,
Here are some points I'm thinking about them right now:

1.
What kind of topics do usually discuss with your friends / family members, and why?

And, SERIOUSLY….
2.
What kind of topics do you prefer to discuss in English ' in this forum ' every so often ? You should know that we can write about a large number of them, i.e. social, intellectual, sports( Al-Jihad Club), cultural, religious, and language issues topics.

3.
A lot of our efforts should be directed towards developing the skills of those who wanna improve their GENERAL ENGLISH. I mean if you have any question regarding English Learning, you can post your question; then hopefully your friends will be a great help on your side ' by commenting on your questions' . I will try my best to be one of those friends.

4.
Last but not least, I want to ask you if you like the idea that your friends have the permission to comment on the language ' form ' that you use to express your viewpoint. For example, perhaps one of the members will tell you about the sentence that you used a certain word incorrectly. Another one may remind you of the grammatical mistakes that you constantly make. On one hand, plenty of you prefer to be free during writing, in the sense that you don't like the idea that the others may check your language, because you just want to focus on getting your message across without paying much attention to the language and its usage. On the other hand, some guys say that they need somebody to test/ check their writing. Some might say if someone has comments on the mistakes and errors that one made in the language, then she/ he could send a personal message to one who made it.

Anyway, you can vote on these points… I will be waiting for ur responses
YEA.. YOU GOTTA SHOW YOUR CHOICE

Ok guys, see you next time

Have fun

Thanks, Sorgul, for being 1. An active participant in English Forum and 2.frank.

1-

Sorgul: I'm not going to choose any thing….Taha: Please hold on and give me a
break , because it seems that you are very upset and about to lose your temper.

2-

Sorgul: you just post topics and then you forget about it…..TAHA: you are correct, in the sense that I concentrate on posting topics and not responding to your comments. Actually, I read every single letter written in English critically since I have been back to Kulik, but I don't comment on everything because I am as busy as a bee. BELIEVE ME ' I HAD / HAVE NO TIME '. However, I promise you and the other dear participants that Enshalah I will be much more active in next times.

3-

Sorgul: so why do we have to pass …..Taha: Let me tell you something, I think all the participants need to do something special while getting together at Kulilk. They should be more focused when they give opinions and discuss topics because I noted that a lot of participants only give few words as a way of responding to a certain point whether in English or Arabic. I believe that we must be more generous.

What do you reckon?!!

Taha : Thanks, Sorgul, for being 1. An active participant in English Forum and 2.frank

Sorgul: I just want to improve my English skills which I think are very weak that’s why I pass through this garden and trying to write as much as possible that’s why you see that I am an active although I am not hhh
For frankness, I think I needed to be ,at least this time .Because I was looking for someone doing well in English to be a good helper in improving my language skills and pointing out to the mistakes that I may do.
So when I sow no response , I get angry, in fact I should, shouldn’t I ?
( I think there is a mistake here right?)

For being upset ,well I really was but now , still hhhhh
Joking

Taha : because I am as busy as a bee

Well don’t you know that there are always a time for a cup of coffee. If you want to do something you will do it this is the human being and his willingness to do the things that he want and finding time for it
But if you don’t want to do something of course you will try to find excuses and pretexts ..sorry for saying that

Taha : I promise you and the other dear participants that Enshalah I will be much more active in next times

Sorgul: ok dear brother we’ll seeeeeeee although I don’t see any glimpse of hope
Any way tomorrow is very near

Well I think that it’s the topic writers job to make the participant be more generous through asking him more questions and of course this will be achieved through coming back to the topic that he posted
Not like you are doing !

Dear All

I totally believe that one can't change what s/he doesn't acknowledge, and if everybody just continues to run around his/her agenda and neglecting what is going on around, then nothing is gonna get resolved. For this reason, I think it is a good idea to respond to what the other says when we feel that the other is honest and serious in his/her suggestions or points.

Now let's keep on responding to Sorgul, are u ready to follow me

Sorgul: I just want to improve my English skills which I think are very weak….etc

Taha: As I mentioned before, we should emphasize the importance of linguistic issues. So much attention must be paid to them so that we can arrive at our targets. Many people are sharing in English forums but without making much progress, they only learn some new vocabulary. The reason behind that is that " those people pay more than 90% of their attention to the topic and the ideas mentioned in it" , in other words; they are concerned with " WHAT" , and neglecting " HOW ", that is why they make a lot of deadly mistakes in their writings.
English skills, unfortunately, don't come in the form of tablets to swallow, they are only ACQUIRED; but for you ' Sorgul ', I think you are LUCKY because you are a practical, active learner, that is so obvious from your intensive, focused, and extended writings.

Sorgul: I was looking for someone doing well in English to be a good helper in improving my language skills and pointing out to the mistakes that I may do…etc

Taha: your point falls into two main categories. The first one, all the
participants need to point out to the linguistic mistakes of each other to make the forum very constructive and active, I mean we don't have to comment only on the message and content but we also need to remind each other of the form of the message. Concerning the second one, it only reassures my idea of the sort-of-spoon-fed Syrian students; you are gasping for a model to follow instead of craving for creativity to achieve. You have to be aware that ' YOU LEARN BY DOING IT YOURSELF / YPURSELVES '

Sorgul : So when I sow no response , I get angry, in fact I should, shouldn’t I ?

Taha: As I said last week that it is only a matter of time then a lot of participants will take part in this forum, but many of them are still waiting for being members. A lot of those who I am talking about called and emailed me about the issue that they are still guests at Kulilk till they get the permission to become MEMBERS. Once those become members, you will get very delighted because they are very generous in comments and responses.

Sorgul: ok dear brother we’ll seeeeeeee although I don’t see any glimpse of hope. Any way tomorrow is very near

Taha: Although I am short of time ( I knew that I would be too busy this year), but I will keep my word coz recently I have made my mind to come back to Kulilk ( for giving and taking ) after I have been away from it for more than 3 years

Anyways, wish you success in your LIFE and careers

And, SERIOUSLY….

I think any kind can help us to enhance our language ,, may I can't discuss u if the topic is about sports :|

Hello,

Thanks, Aleesan, for being one of those volunteers in this vote. Firstly, as you said, people nowadays are so concerned with getting involved in topics like MARRIAGE & SOCIETY'S PROBLEMS, but I am afraid that they will speak ABOUT the problem instead of speaking TO it.

Secondly, the priority number one in this forum is to type in English, therefore, those who want to ask or add anything about English but they are not used to it, then they have to try to give themselves a try to express themselves in English as much as they can. Saying anything in Arabic should be minimized.

To comment on what your friend says is not only a matter of the message and topic, no.., you can also comment on the way in which he/she writes. A lot of things can be referred to as the grammar, vocab, or mistakes /errors of the topic, so that the writer of the topic/ comment & the reader gets a lot of benefit out of these notes
