it mean Jewellery
The word jewellery is derived from the word jewel, which was anglicised from the Old French "jouel" circa the 13th century.
it is an german word

Even though my second language in the university was German and I got 98/96/95 %, but I had not even a clue that ' Schmuck ' means jewelry in German. Anyway, the word ' Schmuck ' is used in America and it means……… :lol: ……in English

I think i have heard it many times in American films.
But I was not sure of its meaning although I felt it is a bad thing, so I looked for and concluded that it is something like foolish.
Of course it is not original english word, it comes from a German accent with the jews :twisted: who travelled to America.

We say: S/he is such a schmuck.
In Kurdish we say: Barote / Kawki …etc Do you have more synonyms in Kurdish?
